The Easter Bunny Came!!!

The Easter Bunny made his annual visit during Claire's nap.  Here are a few photos (for my mother) of her search.

She is obsessed with dresses, and princesses, and being "beautiful".  She has been begging for a crown for weeks now, so the Easter bunny granted her wishes.

I love this little girl more than you could ever know

From her sweet little head

all the way to her teeny toes.

Bill & Kay

These are my adorable grandparents.  They were visiting all the way from Houston Texas.  A couple of days before their departure, my Grandpa called me and said that he would love some portraits of his sweet wife.  I happily obliged! We scheduled the time and place and were ready for photos!  The day came and when I saw my Grandpa, he said  "I could hardly sleep last night! I was so excited for you to take photos of Kay!"  I thought that was darling.

It's not hard to take a beautiful photo when you have a beautiful subject with beautiful light.

My Grandpa the jokester always makes her laugh.

This is the most adorable thing I have ever heard:
My Grandpa told my Grandma that he was so excited to have a beautiful portrait of her.  She said "Well why didn't you do it when I was 40?" And he stopped dead in his tracks, looked her square in the eye and said "Because you are more beautiful now than you have ever been!  And you weren't half bad when I married you at 16 and a half!!"

Isn't she radiant?

Happy Birthday Queenie!!!

Today is one of my most favorite people in the whole wide world's birthdays! It's my Mama's Birthday! Isn't she cute?  I took this photo of her last summer at Crater Lake.  She is a queen and I hope she feels like royalty on her special day.  Love you Mama!

Found: This Gem

You know that feeling when you haven't worn a pair of pants in a long long time and you reach in the pocket and find a $20 or even a $10 and it's like the best feeling ever?

That's how I felt when I found this photo I took of my Angel that I completely forgot about! See that angel halo!? She's an angel, and I love this photo.

First Haircut

Would you believe that Claire was two and a half when she had her first haircut?  I just couldn't ever bring myself to cut that sweet little baby curl that she still had.  Well, her hair got a little scraggly, so I took her to one of the only people I trust with my tresses, my best friend Jessica. I could have died of cuteness overload while she was getting her haircut.  She was just this tiny little thing on this big salon chair.  She acted just like that was where she belonged. She is such a little princess! Here are some photos I'll cherish forever from her first haircut.

Christmas

No worries!  It's the first day of Spring today and I am just now getting around to blogging about Christmas.  It was absolutely lovely! We had it here at home and my parents came to celebrate with us which made it even better.  Who doesn't love Christmas?

Isn't that face just priceless? My favorite photo from Christmas morning

Claire Bowling

This kid loves to bowl! And lucky for her, her cousin had a bowling birthday party!

Love the pot belly, love the shoes, love the jeggings, love her chugging root beer from her cup.

The family brought out Grandma's old bowling ball.  She was a pool shark and a bowling champ!
